I really wanted to like this one. I felt the writer really tried to make this story atmospheric and to establish an atmosphere of foreboding, but never quite succeeded. I was also disappointed by the quality of the writing, which was unpolished at best. I couldn't help but notice several small but distracting errors in grammar and punctuation, such as the improper conjugation of the verb "drink." Like many others I note that this writer has confused "breaks" with "brakes." I'm sure I sound pedantic but these things really pull me out of a story. I did like the cover art, however.Product details

This short story is so friggin' creepy. The entire time, I was on the edge of my seat, wondering what was going on. And don't even get me started on the glass of milk that was prevalent throughout the story. It was very odd and weird, but in a very good way.
I loved it and I would recommend this story to anyone who loves short stories and horror pieces. You won't be disappointed.
It keeps you in suspense at the end and it is really, just indescribable. I Want to read more of this!
Too short and jumbled, the story made no sense & the ending was horrible. It was confusing and weird also.
This is a creepy short story but it is advertised as an anthology which it is not. Perhaps that should be fixed.

Pretty decent little horror story, although I purchased this book from the children's book listings and I would suggest this book be read by young adults and older rather than middle grade kids. The language is a little mature and the plot and ending are definitely mature in subject matter.
